The Ukrainian Charity Foundation "Initiatives for the Future" headed by Igor Iankovskyi actively develops its main direction of activity which is the support of the children’s creativity. The Foundation "Initiatives for the Future" arranges and conducts national drawing competitions in which the young artists – children from the all-over Ukraine - can participate. The participants receive certificates, diplomas and prizes as well as opportunities to present their talents to the world. Unveiling the talents of the youth is a noble and important mission which contributes greatly to the cause of building a highly cultural society.
During the time of its existence the Igor Iankovskyi Charity Foundation arranged several drawing contests. Works of the winners were presented at unique art exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels, at the Ukrainian Information and Cultural Center in Paris as well as at the XXIV Economic Forum in Krynica (Poland).
The purpose of these contests is development of the children’s art, discovering of new talents as well as presentation of the Ukrainian children’s pictures at international exhibitions as one of the ways for promotion of talents, Ukrainian culture and the highly developed state of Ukraine within the world community.
The Ukrainian children's art contest "My native land - Ukraine". It was the first nationwide project which was attended by more than 700 works of children from all over Ukraine. The names of the winners were announced on June 16, 2013 in the hall of the art center “The chocolate house” where took place the ceremony of awarding of laureate in a number of the contest’s nominations as well as the opening of exhibition of the best works of the finalists and participants.
The contest “World of children's pysanka”. On April 2014 the Igor Iankovskyi Foundation together with “POULTRY FACTORY PODILLYA” LLC conducted the charity event dedicated to the celebration of Easter. The children from Vinnytsia region aged from 5 to 16 participated in this children’s art contest. The ceremony of awarding took place on the Easter’s eve on April 18, 2014 in Stepanivka village in the local cultural center. According to the words of organizers and members of the jury it was very difficult to determine the winner because all works were created with use of different artistic techniques and all of them were noteworthy.
The Ukrainian children's art contest “My peaceful Ukraine”. The ceremony of awarding of participants and finalists of the contest of children’s pictures took place on June 07, 2014 in the hall of Art center “The Chocolate House”. The winners – young talented artists of Ukraine – were awarded with certificates, diplomas and prizes and some of them had luck to win the package tour to Bukovel. The main idea of the contest - peaceful and united Ukraine as inseparable country – was the main theme of 2014. More than 600 works from all over Ukraine including artworks of talented children from Crimea were sent for the contest of children art.
The exhibition of the best paintings titled “My peaceful Ukraine” was presented on September 03 within the framework of the XXIV Economic Forum in Krynica-Zdroj (Poland) and on October 01 this exhibition was opened in Paris in the building of the Ukrainian Cultural and Information Center at the Embassy of Ukraine. Due to the art exhibitions conducted by the Igor Iankovskyi Foundation the European public had the opportunity to see and to appraise the opinion of Ukrainian children about events in their country, to learn their views and dreams about the future, desire of peace and unity through the prism of the children’s paintings.
On November 05, 2013 the Igor Iankovskyi Foundation "Initiative for the Future" conducted the unique event exhibition and performance "Ukraine through children’s eyes" in Brussels (Belgium) within the walls of the European Parliament. The purpose of this event was with use of the children’s art and music to present to the European public talents of the rising generation of Ukraine, to expose the real hopes of the young generation to develop, to create, to improve with a firm belief in prosperity of their country.
Charitable foundations of Ukraine are the possibility and the good chance for children who in future may become our creative elite. The mission of the Igor Iankovskyi Charity Foundation "Initiatives for the future" is to give chance to young Ukrainians, to find talented children and to help in their development.
