On November 6, 2017, an art exhibition of the winners of the Children's Drawings Competition "Ukraine through children eyes" was opened at the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, which was held by the Igor Iankovskyi All-Ukrainian Charity Foundation "Initiative for the Future" for 5 years.
We continue a series of news about the finalists of the All-Ukrainian Children Drawing Contest "UKRAINE - THE LAND OF TALENTS", which tell us about their impressions of the summer vacation. In their letters, young artists clearly and figuratively express the wonderful feelings that filled the children's hearts in the summer - just read the first words of the letter, which is written by hand.
“OWN CINEMA” – scenario and scenario ideas contest kick-started in November 2016 as a part of the broader project “Watch Ukrainian – create your future!” initiated and realized by Association “Cinema development support – Watch Ukrainian!” and “VAVILON” company. It is to be noted that the project “Watch Ukrainian – create your future!” and “OWN CINEMA” contest is being realized on charitable basis, by means and efforts of philanthropists. The prime sponsor of the project is National Charity Foundation “Initiative for the Future” that is constantly and extensively supporting the project during the whole period of its realization.
11th of November 2016. International Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) has kick-started in the capital city of Estonia to last until the 27th of November 2016. Within the festival will be held the biggest co-production market in North-East Europe – “Baltic Event Co-production Market”, the fifteenth in a row, from the 17th to 24th November. Ukrainian State Film Agency jointly with Igor Iankovskyi National Charity Foundation “Initiative for the Future” have organized at Baltic Event 2016 a set of actions under common theme - “Focus Ukraine”, in order to promote Ukrainian cinema. On the 20th of November the Head of the Ukrainian State Film Agency, Pylyp Illienko, will personally conduct a presentation entitled “Ukraine – Your New Co-Production Partner”. The presentation will be followed by a movie projection, created by Vitalii Manskyi in a co-production with Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and Germany. After the projection, all the guests will be invited to the “Nordic Hotel Forum” to the special Ukrainian reception where cinema makers, distributors, festival representatives and sales agents could make new business acquaintances. The section Baltic Event 2016: International Works In Progress will present selected 14 movie projects under production from all-around the world. Among them – three projects that are being realized with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency: “When the Trees are Falling” by Marysia Nikitiuk (winner of the Agency’s 7th contest round); “Bobot” by Maksym Ksiondza (winner of the Agency’s 7th contest round); “Izi” by Andrea Maniani (winner of the Agency’s 4th contest round). As noted Pylyp Illienko, the Head of the Ukrainian State Film Agency: “It is very important to represent Ukrainian cinema on this festival’s movie market because Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is the only class “A” festival in Northern Europe. There is only 15 festivals in the world with this kind of privilege. The chosen Ukrainian projects have been already remarked by other international festivals’ movie markets. Of equal importance is planned presentation “Ukraine – Your New Co-Production Partner”, where I will stroke all the advantages, particularities and prospective of co-production with cinematic Ukraine”. The project Ukrainian film "Tank" won the pitching co-production at the Berlin International Film Festival and received funding for further development. At February 15, for the pitching presentations of the Berlin International Film Festival co-production market was presented 36 film projects from around the world. Among of them - Ukrainian full-length debut "Tank" by director Maxim Ksonda.
